Best Purple Shampoo: TIGI Catwalk Fashionista Violet Shampoo

I’ve had my hair ombred blonde for soooo many years, I’ve forgotten what it was like to use regular shampoo. Because of this though, I’ve scoured the ends of the earth to find the absolute best purple shampoo- and guys, after 3 years of using this stuff, it’s easily the best in my book.

Color-Neutralizing

It actually does what purple shampoo is supposed to do- neutralize those ugly yellow tones! The TIGI Catwalk is fantastic at this. The way I use this stuff is that I’ll lather the product onto my roots to my ends, and then rinse. Then, I do this a second time. The second time is when the actual color-neutralizing properties begin to take effect. If I want my hair to be ashier, I’ll leave it on a bit longer than I normally would. There’s definitely a huge difference when I use this stuff versus when I don’t!

Hydration

Most purple shampoos I’ve tried dry the heck out my hair!!! (Don’t get me started on Shimmer Lights…) TIGI Catwalk’s doesn’t do that though. In fact, my hair feels softer and more luscious than when I use my normal shampoo! It contains pearl extract and rice milk to give your hair an extra smooth and shiny finish!

Scent

Okay, here’s the cherry on the top: it smells heavenly. I can’t even put a word to describe how it smells. It has a bit of a floral scent, but it’s super sophisticated and sexy. It’s truly what sold me on it. I first tried this shampoo at the prestigious Dressing Room in Soho, NYC, and as soon as she started washing my hair, I was like- I NEED THAT SHAMPOO.

Final Thoughts

I could not exhort you guys enough who are looking for a new purple shampoo to try this one!!! I’ve been repurchasing it for the past three consecutive years, and I have no regrets. It cancels out any brassy tones while giving you all the things you’d normally sacrifice in a purple shampoo. Life truly wouldn’t be the same without it!

What about you guys? What are your favorite anti-brass haircare products??? Let me know in the comments below!
