Top 3 Most Used Skincare Products of 2018!

New year, new skin b*tches.

It’s not actually January 1st anymore, but as the first month of the year is wrapping up, I figured that I’d post my favorite 3, most used skincare products from last year!

Son & Park Beauty Water

Son and Park Beauty Water

This had to be first on the list, because I’ve literally never repurchased any single cosmetic item as much as I’ve repurchased this product so far. It’s none other than the all in one Son & Park Beauty Water! Here’s why I love it so much: deep cleaning + skin softening. Normally, those two things seem to conflict each other in the cosmetic industry. You either get one but never both- except with this product. You can literally see the dirt and makeup residue after using this (it’s kinda gross actually haha), but it leaves the skin very soft and supple even on its own. That’s not all! Another god-sent attribute: it’s portability. Because of it’s sturdy plastic bottle, I’ve carried this on photoshoots, film, runway (especially when models have tired skin after a full day of changing makeup looks), and I’ve also packed mini bottles with me on overnight plane rides! I could not recommend this stuff highly enough!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

I’ve used this serum for years and it’s my tried and true. As a pro artist for Estee Lauder, there was a ton of scientific stuff I had to learn about it such as how it protects from environmental damage and is a great anti-aging serum because of a special polypeptide that’s in it, etc, etc. It’s not that scientific facts aren’t important or significant, but we can cut the bullschwiz: this serum is life-changing. On a superficial level, it makes my skin super silky and smooth and hydrates soooo well. On my clients who even have oily skin (I have dry skin), it’s enough to use as a stand alone moisturizer underneath make-up, but if they choose to wear a gel over it, it doesn’t make their skin greasy or anything. This product, with consistent use, took my skin from being ridiculously dry and flaky, to being incredibly hydrated and resilient. Even though it is an investment, it’s worth it- it’s not just one of those, I have to use to this product all time for the rest of my life in order to see results type of product. Give it a week of consistent use, both day and night, and you’ll see a difference! It truly helps normalize the skin, and after it gets it to that point, you’ll find yourself having to use less and less of it! So glad I introduced my skin to this product!!

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream

One of my faves of all time as well as a huge client favorite: Kiehl’s famous white jar. This cream is fragrance-free, provides 24-hour hydration, and even comes in an oil-free and SPF formula for those looking for those qualities in a cream! I love love love how this makes foundation look on top of it. It provides such a smooth and hydrated skin canvas for all skin types, and I found myself using it heavily during fashion shows and broadway plays lately as it helps provide tackiness for that thicker, stage makeup bases. Even with regular foundation, I feel as it serves as the ultimate primer for any foundation formulation (yay, no separating!). This product also works well for men, as guys can use it without fear of getting clogged pores! (My boyfriend has super dry skin and is allergic to fragrance, and I think he’s been using this cream more often than I do nowadays, haha!). Because of its versatility, you can find this cream in many makeup artists’ kits. Also, its affordable price is a great deal if you want luxury skincare results for a fraction of the cost!
