Eye cream. It’s literally a way of life. Why you may ask??? Because the skin around our eyes is the thinnest and therefore shows our age the fastest. I actually had a makeup instructor once, who shocked the entire class with his age. The secret source of his fountain-of-youth? Eye cream. Can you believe that? A 65 year-old man who looked no more than 35 claimed his source of youth was due to eye cream! So alas! I set out on a quest to find the perfect eye cream. Have I found it yet??? Consistency

This eye cream is pretty darn thick. So if you’re looking for a lighter eye cream for spring or summer, this definitely isn’t it. It’s super hydrating though, for those of us with dry under eyes.

Benefits

To be honest, I haven’t seen a super huge improvement in overall skin health in that particular area. I mean, any hydrating product could arguably be "anti-aging”, so I do believe that the stuff is helping my skin. Now, when I use this eye cream, my concealer does lay on nicely over top. However, it takes a bit of time to sink in, so I wouldn’t recommend applying makeup directly after using this stuff.

Price

Now for all the anti-aging benefits it claims, and for the performance I’ve observed so far, I do believe the price point is justified. High-end eye creams tend to run in the $60-ish price point, so it doesn’t appall me there. However, if you can get a discount, such as Macy’s VIP 15% Off Sale or a sale of the like, then you should definitely go for it!

Final Verdict

So to my earlier question: Have I found the perfect eye cream yet??? Hmmm, probably not. Don’t get me wrong- I do really really like this stuff. But I feel like somewhere in the cosmos, there’s probably something better for me. Now, if you’re already using the Benefiance line or you’re comfortable with the Shiseido brand, I would say definitely go for it! It’s definitely one of the better eye creams I’ve used! Also, it’s not ridiculously priced like La Mer, and it performs extremely well! However, I suppose I’m just looking for an eye cream that I can use less and less as I consistently use it (like Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum), but hey- maybe I’m asking for too much!
