Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base Review

So lately, I’ve been on a Chanel beauty binge, and honestly, I’m all for it. Yes, there’s just something about Chanel that draws me to it. Maybe it’s their brand as a whole, maybe it was the history of the queen Coco herself, or maybe it’s feeling of ferocity and boss lady that keeps me spending that high price tag! Whatever it is, it’s working. Naturally, I wanted to try a whole face of Chanel products, and well, this highly-loved cream bronzer was going to obviously get put to the test:

Color

This bronzer is that perfect sunkissed glow that everyone wants during the spring/summertime. I mean, it’s a yellow-based warm bronzer that truly just looks flattering on so many skintones. It’s not the most ideal contour color, as I usually prefer something cooler like Hoola or Kevyn Aucoin, but it is so pretty as an all over bronzer or just even as a warm, sunkissed contour.

Longevity

Where this product excels is where other cream products just flop. It stays put. That’s right: A cream product that actually stays on all day. This cream bronzer has a cream to powder finish, and doesn’t really move after that! A super huge plus in the hotter months where makeup tends to just melt off your face!

Price

So this is a factor that’s obviously really important when we buy products: How much $$$ is it going to take??? And since we’re talking about Chanel here, we know it’s not going to be cheap. However, I will say with how much you get in the jar, you actually are getting a pretty good deal. For $50, you are getting 30 g of product- which for comparison, a pan of NARS Laguna Bronzer is $40 for 8 grams of product! Personally, I’ve been using this product nonstop for the past three weeks, and I can’t even see a dent in it yet! I honestly have no idea how I’m going to hit pan on it!

Final Verdict

If you’re looking for a great, warm, long-lasting cream bronzer, Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel is the best one out there. I wouldn’t bother with dupes or anything, because really, there aren’t any that I’ve tried that last as long or feel as nice as this one. There are nice luxury touches to this product such as the light, classy rose scent and the beautiful packaging; however, this product is not hyped just because of its bells and whistles. The high price point is justified with how much product you get in each jar, and like I mentioned before, who doesn’t feel like a boss when they use Chanel?
