Tarte™ Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara
So I’ve tried this mascara before in its full-sized glory, and it’s a really solid mascara. This goes the same for its trial-sized counterpart. It doesn’t smudge as badly as other mascaras, and it does an awesome job separating and lengthening lashes. It doesn’t add that much volume though, so I like it more for natural days.
Too Faced Better Than Sex
This one is actually my favorite out of all the trial-sized mascaras in the worldddd. It’s literally a must-have. However, I actually dislike the full-sized version of this mascara. It just dispenses product too clumpy, and it dries out superrrrr fast. The trial sized however is god-sent. Due to the smaller packaging of the mascara, it doesn’t distribute a clumpy mess before you use and it lengthens and volumizes your lashes soooo well! I might actually pick up several of these kits just for this trial sized Better Than Sex mascara.
Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara
Out of all the new mascaras in this kit, this one wowed me the most. As of how my eyelashes look, I prefer the Too Faced Better Than Sex (travel-sized edition of course!) than this one however… I feel like I found treasure with this one for the fact that it is the first mascara that I’ve worn that does not smudge underneath my eyes. Usually, by the end of the day, I have a bit of smudging near my lower lash line, but when I tried this mascara, I had zero smudging (OMG!!!). For that reason alone, this mascara will definitely be in my kit at all times!
Milk Makeup Kush High Volume Mascara
Honestly, this mascara was just ok for me. It’s the one I would grab on a no-makeup makeup type of day. It gave me what I like to call “fluffy” lashes. Although it’s not my favorite, it did do its job- don’t get me wrong! It’s just that I prefer dramatic, super voluminous, super black lashes, so I would recommend this one for those who prefer that natural lash look!
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
I’ve also had previous experience with this mascara before using the travel-sized mascara in this kit, and jsut like the Tarte mascara, it’s just a solid mascara. The strength of this mascara I believe is its ability to be built up. You can settle with a nice, lengthened lash or bump it up to a super thick, blackened lash without it getting too clumpy. It’s a nice mascara if you’re looking for really dark lashes but don’t want that super clumpiness you get with other dramatic mascaras (like the Better Than Sex).
Final Verdict
I’m really glad Sephora put this kit together, because these were all great mascaras! I’m glad also that I got not only the ability to try these five mascaras, but I also got a voucher for a full-sized mascara (out of the five) to redeem in store! So what full-sized mascara did I end up with????
That’s right! I chose the Hourglass mascara, because I loved how it didn’t smudge! Also, the Better Than Sex mascara as I mentioned is the best when in its travel-size form, so that also helped me make my decision.
